    History

This term was originally coined as violetgender on the Tumblr blog Mogai-Headcanons on September 6, 2018.[1] The flag was created at the same time.

It was later revamped with a new name and flag by the same Tumblr user on the Tumblr blog Neopronouns on November 10, 2020.[2]
