    VOCALOIDgender: Difference between revisions

m (SweetMeloncat moved page Vocagender (Vocaloid) to VOCALOIDgender: VOCALOIDgender is a term specific to this identity, whereas "Vocagender" has non-VOCALOID-related meanings, so VOCALOIDgender makes it stand out more and removes confusion)

VOCALOIDgender, also known as VOCAgender (not to be confused with the audiogender by the same name), is a gender that is tied to the VOCALOID software. The name of this gender may or may not be capitalized.

A VOCALOIDgender individual may feel that their gender is connected to or influenced by a certain VOCALOID, or by VOCALOIDs in general. It may also be connected to songs featuring VOCALOID vocals, VOCALOID producers, the avatars of VOCALOID vocals, or anything related to VOCALOID in general.

This gender may also be related to similar vocal synthesizers or derivatives, such as FANLOIDs/Vocaloid Derivatives, UTAUs, or even possibly SynthesizerV vocals. VOCALOIDgender may be considered to be a technogender, as well as a subset of audiogender, depending on its use. Genders related to UTAUloids can be referred to as UTAUloidgenders.

VOCALOIDgender can also be used as an umbrella term for genders related to VOCALOIDs, such as Mikugender, Lengender, and Ringender.

    Flags

The yellow, blue, and pink flag represents Akita Neru, Hatsune Miku, and Kasane Teto, a triad of vocal synthesizers which sung in the classic VOCALOID song "Triple Baka" by LamazeP. The creator of this flag, as well as its date of creation, is unknown.

Another flag was created with a cyan, orange, yellow, grey, blue, pink, and red stripe. The stripes represent Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len, KAITO, Megurine Luka, and MEIKO, who are the six Cryptonloids (VOCALOIDs produced by the company Crypton Future Media) and the six most well-known VOCALOIDs in general. The creator of this flag, as well as its date of creation, is unknown.

Another flag was created by Fandom user zuoswyvern, on the 19th of September 2021. White represents the technological aspect of VOCALOID/the program itself, red represents the VOCALOIDs MEIKO & Fukase, yellow represents the VOCALOIDs Kagamine Rin & Len, blue represents the VOCALOIDs Hatsune Miku & KAITO, and purple represents the VOCALOIDs Flower & Camui Gackpo. The colors may also be associated with other vocal synthesizers, if one wishes to do so.

Another flag was created by REMIRULIKESBAGELS on Scratch. This flag is based on the VOCALOID Megurine Luka.

    The VOCALOIDgender and UTAUloidgender symbol

Another flag was created on May 3, 2022 by a user who wishes to remain anonymous. Each stripe (except for the white stripe) represents the Cryptonloid Gang, who are often considered to be the "main six" VOCALOIDs:

    • Blue: KAITO
    • Cyan: Hatsune Miku
    • Pink: Megurine Luka
    • White: inclusivity and validation
    • Yellow: Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len
    • Red/brown: MEIKO

There is a version of the flag with the VOCALOIDgender/UTAUloidgender symbol, as well as one without it. The symbol was created by the same anonymous user on May 2, 2022. It can be applied to any VOCALOIDgender or UTAUloidgender.

    Notes

    1. Akita Neru and Kasane Teto are not VOCALOIDs, despite often being confused for being so. They are a FANLOID and an UTAU, respectively.
