Umbragender is a gender in the exemgenders system. It is a xenogender that feels animalistic and/or otherworldly and has a connection to shadows and shadow-like figures. One who is umbragender may have an emotional, physical, or aesthetic connection to shadow-type Pokemon, but doesn't have to. It could also be connected to one's kintype/kingender, or other factors.

The umbragender flag was coined on or before February 25, 2018 by tumblr user coiningblog[1]. The flag has no confirmed meaning.
The flag was created on April 12, 2021, by FANDOM user Ariathatsme. The meaning goes as follows: Yellow and blue to represent/mimic the pokemon theme colors, Pink and purple to represent the kingender flag, grey/black to represent darkness and mystery, and the dark overlap represents a shadow.
