    The tus flag.

Tus is a verb for when one does not feel like an identity quite fits them, but it is the closest one can find, and one wishes to identify with it. For example, if one does not feel like asexual fully fits them, but one is sex repulsed and feels more comfortable identifying as asexual, one can say they are tus-asexual or tusing asexual. Another example could be if one feels that they are in between cis and genderfluid, one could say they are tusing cis and genderfluid. Any identity can be tused.

    Term Origin

Tus originated on the r/lgballt discord server on September 30, 2020[1]. It originated from the airport code for Tucson, Arizona, after a discussion about how identities are not always exactly perfect fits, and sometimes the line around identities is strange. This was compared to how addresses in Arizona are listed as being in Tucson, when they are not actually within city limits.

    Flag

The flag is a gradient of purple stripes, centered around a white stripe, with a purple circle over it. The white stripe represents the term, the purple gradient represents being close to, but not in the term, and the circle is taken from the flag of Tucson, Arizona. The flag was created by Luna (Discord: Luna-Moon, Reddit: u/lunaissickofhate).
