Tulimsexual is a subset of polysexual and an m-spec identity. A tulimsexual individual experiences sexual attraction to multiple genders, but not all. The distinction between tulimsexual and polysexual is that tulimsexual individuals have a preference whereas one who's polysexual does not have to have a preference. For example, one who identifies as tulimsexual may be attracted to fingender and xingender individuals but have a strong preference for ningender individuals.
Someone who is tulimsexual may feel their preference plays a heavy part in their sexuality, which could cause them to want a label that clearly defines that they have a preference to certain genders, or to a certain gender.
The prefix 'tulim-' can be used for any type of attraction (tulimsensual, tulimromantic, etc).
History
The term was coined by Reddit user hiitsyaz in 2021, though the exact date is unknown.
Etymology
'Tulim-' comes from the prefix 'multi-'. It is 'multi' with the letters rearranged.
