Triasexual (shortened to Tria) is an orientation for anyone of any gender who is exclusively attracted to any non-binary people and/or identities. A triasexual person does not have to be attracted to all types of non-binary people, they might only be attracted to certain types of non-binary people. Anyone can identify as triasexual as long as they aren't attracted to binary people.
Flag
The term and flag were collectively coined on the LGBTA Wikia Discord server on July 27, 2020. The colors are based on the most common colors used to represent non-binary people. The meanings are as follows:
The purple represents non-binary identities that are connected to femininity and/or masculinity, or identities that are a mix of masculine and feminine (androgynous), because pink and blue (commonly representing femininity and masculinity) mixed together make purple. The yellow represents abinary people and identities. It is also commonly used as color to represent non-binary people as a whole. The green represents atrinary identities, including xenogender people, as well as representing neutrois and agender people. The white represents love and/or attraction.
Etymology
The word tria- means "third" in Esperanto, referencing how non-binary identities are commonly referred to as a third gender.
