Transhet or transhetero is a term for transgender individuals who are straight/heterosexual and/or heteroromantic. This includes trans women exclusively attracted to men, and trans men exclusively attracted to women. It also includes non-binary people who label themselves as straight/hetero-.

    History

The term "transhet" appears to have been originally coined by Tumblr user beyond-mogai-pride-flags on July 23rd of 2019,[1] and has been used amongst the community since.

    Flags

The first two transhet flags were coined by Tumblr user beyond-mogai-pride-flags on July 23rd of 2019.[1]

The transhet flag by Tumblr user RainbowPrincette was posted through Tumblr account transhetlove on December 30, 2019.[2]

The transhet pride flags by FANDOM users RoseWatera, Adora, Lm7923, and Unfunny person420, were posted on the LGBTA Wiki, on various dates.[3]

Another transhet flag was created by Tumblr user kenochoric on March 10, 2021.[4] Black represents the queer flag. Straight trans individuals are still members of the community, and their experiences are inherently queer because of their trans identity. Red/pink represents straight trans women, as well as woman-aligned or related non-binary individuals. Orange represents pride in one’s identity, as well as their experiences with being straight and trans. White represents community history, solidarity, and self love. Blue represents straight trans men, as well as man-aligned or related non-binary individuals. Green represents straight non-binary individuals, who may not have a particular alignment. This may include strayt individuals, or just non-binary individuals who consider their attraction to be “straight.”

Most transhetero flags are combinations of hetero-/straight flags and transgender flags.
