Testodominant is a descriptor of an individual experiencing testosterone or testoid as their dominant sex hormone. It describes someone who is predominantly androgenized.
The term can be used regardless of gender identity or modality. Testodominant individuals can have any gender expression.
This term typically encompasses most cis men, individuals taking testosterone as part of HRT (usually trans individuals who were AFAB or detransitioners who were AMAB), cisn't individuals who were assigned male at birth and have not taken estrogen or testosterone blockers as part of HRT, certain intersex people, and some cis women with hormonal imbalances/differences.[1]
Someone who is naturally testodominant (has not become so through HRT or an acquired medical condition) may be called innatum-testodominant.[1]
The estrogenic counterpart is estrodominant.
