Tanugender is a xenogender connected to, influenced by, or comparable to the animal Tanuki in some way. A tanugender person may identify with Tanukis to the point that they are indistinguishable from their gender or otherwise want to incorporate them into their identity. It is part of the vulpinigender subsystem. Those who are tanugender are not necessarily otherkin or kingender, however they can be.
History and Flag
Tanugender was coined on June 21, 2020, by Tumblr user xeno-aligned.[1] The tanugender flag was designed by Tumblr user mogai-trender-sideblog on December 6, 2020.[2] The flag features a fox paw and is intended to reflect the colors associated with the tanuki.
