Supernovian is a xenogender that relates to the void of the universe and the lights and colours of dying stars (supernova), which is where its name comes from. Being supernovian feels like your gender is older than yourself and is far away while feeling loud and colourful.
History
Supernovian was coined by user LoonyxdiAngelo on their twitter in July 2021. Dae there described it as:
“A gender that feels like an ancient star exploding into the void of the universe or like a loud and colourful emptiness. You may feel like your gender is much older or more ancient than you are or like the explosion of your gender is vibrating joyful and in bright colours throughout your body or mind.”

The supernovian flag was designed by Fandom user foreigntoolmaker on August 5th, 2021. It has bright colors to symbolize a supernova and grays to represent a void. The black stars represent old or dead stars.
