Some examples where this may occur includes, but is not limited to...
* A fictive alterheadmate who has been repeatedly invalidated for being of fictional origin, and thus has distress with their innerworld body because of it.
* A factive alterheadmate who has been repeatedly invalidated for being of someone else's origin, and thus has distress with their innerworld body because of it.
* An alterheadmate that is a ghost, spirit, or is conceptive and feels distress towards the fact that they do not have a body.
* An alterheadmate of color within a white body who experiences distress due to internalized racism.
* An alterheadmate of color within a white body that feels they are 'not a true member of their race' and thus experiences distress.
* An alterheadmate who is a [[transgender]] [[man]], however their innerworld does not allow them to undergo medical transition, and thus they feel dysphoria towards their innerworld body.
* An [[intersex]] alterheadmate who has internalized intersexism and/or feels as though their intersex variation makes them 'less than' someone who is [[dyadic]], and thus feels discomfort in their innerworld body.
