Singstrecomfic is a xenogender using the -comfic suffix that is described as relating to the fact that Sing Street[1] is one's comfort film. -comfic genders are mostly used by neurodivergent individuals, but are not exclusive to them.
History
The -comfic suffix was originally created by Tumblr user neopronouns on June 5th, 2021[2]. Singstrecomfic was created as a subset of this gender concept by Tumblr user mygenderisamess on June 6th, 2021[3].
Flags
The flags were shared in the same post as the singstrecomfic coining on June 6th, 2021. The colors were based off of one of the movie posters for Sing Street. Bun created a second version of this flag as well with less bright colors.[3]
