    The shakesqueerian flag.
The shakesqueerian flag without the symbol.

Shakesqueerian is a xenogender connected to both genderqueer and Shakespearean aesthetics. One who identifies as shakesqueerian may feel that Shakespearean English, Shakespearean literature and Shakespearean aesthetics impacts their gender. They may also feel like their gender is tranquil and romantic.

    History

Shakesqueerian was coined by FANDOM user Raining Stars Collective on May 28, 2021. Inspiration for this gender came from a user in the previously affiliated Discord server saying "Shakesqueer."

Although this term was made by the Raining Stars Collective, rights and ownership of this term have been handed over to Contie. Raining Stars Collective gave permission for this statement to be added to this page.

    Flag

The background of the Shakesqueerian flag is meant to resemble the color of an old book's pages. The green, violet red and deep brown colors are color schemes inspired by Shakespearean aesthetics. The rows on the flag are meant to resemble the Chevron queer flag. The feather/quill has a double symbolism for tranquillity and literature.
