Sexual Orientation is a sexual parallel to the concept of romantic orientation, commonly used in asexual and aromantic communities. Typically, sexual orientation identity labels are derived through the use of a prefix term combined with the suffix "-sexual." For example, asexual, bisexual, and heterosexual are all examples of sexual orientation labels. More common labels, such as gay and lesbian, can also be used to describe one's sexuality.
