Sesquigender is a non-binary gender that is between bigender and another gender (usually a binary gender). In a similar manner to how bigender often means both male and female but can technically be any two genders, sesquigender can be with any gender as the primary and any as the secondary. Sesquigender is more recognizable when it is half-way between bigender and another gender, but can be at any point in between the primary and secondary gender.

'Sesqui' is a prefix that denotes 'one and a half', so this gender is playfully known as 'the 1 & 1/2 gender.'
