Selian is a term used to describe a person who presents themselves in a feminine way, but does not identify as a person of female/feminine gender.
This term is similar to but different from femproche. With femproche, gender non-conformity is an integral part of one's queer experience. However, this is not the case with selian.
The term can be used by anyone whose gender is not inherently feminine. The masculine counterpart is apollonian, and the neutral counterpart is eosian.
History
The term and flag were created in a story pin by Pinterest user emozemo on July 19th, 2021. She also created the apollonian term and flag in the same post. The term was called artemisian at the time, but was changed due to the fact that that term already existed.[1]
