Rengender is a gender that feels pure, relaxing, kind, benevolent, and/or perfect. The gender can be described as peaceful and by a whole host of positive emotions.
One may use this if they feel that the gender and experience they use is perfect, ripe with purity and fun.
The gender can feel pure in its masculinity, femininity, neutrality, etc. as well as relating to the individual's experience.
Rengender can be used an umbrella term and also be used alongside other specific gender or gender qualities, such as renmasculine, renfeminine, renneutral, renagender, renenby, etc.
When used alongside a specific gender or gender quality (such as renmasculine), one may feel that the gender or gender quality one experiences is pure, and can be described as perfect and kind.
History
The term rengender was coined on February 10th 2024, by Discord user Remus - who also created two flags.
The meanings of each color band include:
- silver, representing elegance and grace;
- blue, representing comfort, serenity, tranquility;
- pink, representing cheerfulness, warmth, gentleness;
- orange, representing fun, happiness and liveliness;
- yellow, representing sincerity, confidence, friendliness;
- a centered lotus flower representing purity.[1]
An alternative flag was created by user Lime2342 on February 11th 2024- The flag is based upon the Lexegender template.
Etymology
The prefix 'ren' derives from the Asian gender-neutral name and word Ren, meaning lotus, humanity, humaneness, goodness, benevolence, and love.[2][3]
