Recipromantic or sometimes called Reciproromantic is a romantic orientation on the aromantic spectrum meaning someone who does not experience romantic attraction unless they know that the other individual is romantically attracted to them first.

Recipromantic can be a romantic orientation on it's own or can be combined with other orientations. For example, one could be recipromantic and omniromantic, meaning that when one does experience romantic attraction it's towards individuals of any gender, with gender still factoring on their attraction. The sexual counterpart of recipromantic is reciprosexual.

    History

Recipromantic was coined by a deactivated Tumblr user on an unknown date.[1]

    Etymology

The prefix recipro- comes from the word reciprocate or reciprocal.
