    Pronoun Non-Conforming (PNC) also known as pronoun variant is a form of gender non-conformity in which one uses non-standard pronouns. This includes:

    • Anyone who uses neopronouns, or nounself pronouns.
    • People who use emojiself pronouns.
    • Anyone who uses multiple pronoun sets (multipronouns).
    • Binary people who use an “unexpected” pronoun set (crosspronouns): men using any pronouns other than "he" and women using any pronouns other than "she".
    • Non-binary people who use "gendered" pronouns (he and she).
    • People who use variant sets of pronouns (varipronouns), such as she/zer/xyrself, he/hir/zimself, etc.
    • People using binary pronouns because no other pronouns are available in their language.

    History

    The term pronoun non-conformity was coined by Tumblr user Vitorrubiao on  Aug 24th, 2018[1]. The flag was based on the gender non-conforming flag[2].
