Poseidongender can have multiple definitions, such as:

- An individual whose gender is connected to being a god, specifically Poseidon, whether partially, or fully
- An individual whose gender is connected to water and/or the sea, and/or is connected to the association of Poseidon and the ocean/seas
- An individual whose gender identity is connected to the way Poseidon controls and protects the seas.
- An individual who is partially Neptunun, but feels their gender is connected to Poseidon.
- An individual whose gender feels connected to earthquakes, and how they are related to water.
- An individual whose gender feels connected to rivers, floods, droughts, and other similar things, and how they are related to water.

The original Poseidongender flag colors represent the sea and the way Poseidon rules and protects the seas.
