Polyanthropy is a term with two definitions. It could be an umbrella term for polygamy and polyamory, or it could be a gender neutral version of polygyny and polyandry, depending on the usage of the word. Several examples include of the gender neutral definition include:
- A person who marries multiple men and women.
- A person who marries multiple non-binary people.
- A person who marries multiple anonbinary people.
- A person who marries a group of people of different genders.
One who identifies as this can be called a polyanthropist, polyanthrope, polyanthropic, polyanthropical, polyanthric, polyanthrous, or polyanthropous.
History
It is unknown when the term was coined, however it has been used amongst the community for a number of years.

Etymology
Poly- comes from Greek polus ‘much’, polloi ‘many’. -anthropy from Ancient Greek ánthrōpos “human”.
