Platonic attraction is a form of tertiary attraction felt by a-spec individuals. It is defined as the desire to be in a platonic relationship (friendship) with someone.
Platonic attraction can sometimes overlap with queerplatonic attraction, with the difference being that queerplatonic attraction is often more intense and intimate. Platonic attraction can sometimes turn into queerplatonic attraction.
A platonic crush is called a squish.
People who do not develop squishes may call themselves aplatonic.
