History
Phonogender was coined on February 20, 2019 by tumblr user momma-mogai-sphinx. Violet, pink, white, grey, brown, and blue represent different aspects of the sound spectrum, the red is from the comgender flag, while the bright blue is a color associated with the throat.
Flag
Phonogender was coined on February 20, 2019 by momma-mogai-sphinx on Tumblr[1]. The flag was created at the same time. The flag's colors mean the following: Violet, pink, white, grey, brown, and blue where taken from a Wikipedia image on the colors of sound[2] to represent the sound spectrum, red was added from the comgender flag. The bright blue is associated with the throat, and therefore the voice. Together, the stripes translate to “having a gender associated with the throat/voice.”
