Philosexuality is the embodiment of “the heart wants what the heart wants” as applied to attraction to gender. Philosexuals do not care what gender they are attracted too, however they may not experience attraction to certain genders, or any gender at all. Philosexual people are open to the idea of being with any gender or sex, but don’t always feel drawn to anyone of that identity. The term philosexual can be used as a fixed identity, or it can be used as a placeholder for people who are questioning their identity. Once they find a term that fits them better, they can drop the philosexual label.

Philosexuals can have a separate romantic orientation (e.g. A philosexual homoromantic), and they can also be demisexual (e.g. A demi-philosexual). The romantic counterpart is philoromantic.

    Philosexuality vs Omnisexuality and Pansexuality

The difference between philosexuality, omnisexuality, and pansexuality is that philosexuals don't have to like every gender. If they felt attracton to a certain gender, they would be fine with it. That does not mean they like all genders.
