Pentagender is a form of multigender in which someone has five distinct gender identities. These five gender identities can be male, female and/or any other identities. Pentagender people may experience these genders simultaneously or fluidly.
Pentagender is a form of plurigender in which someone experiences five genders at once. These can be any five genders; however, they must be static or, at least, simultaneous. It is considered the static version of quintgender, which can be either static or fluid. Later definitions mention that the gender(s) can be experienced fluidly, but it is uncertain whether this addition was made by the coiner.

Pentagender people may also identify as multigender, transgender or non-binary. If these genders are experienced fluidly, either over time or under circumstances, they may also identify as genderfluid, which is an umbrella term to describe anyone whose gender identity varies over time.
Pentagender individuals may also identify as multigender, transgender, and/or non-binary.

The pentagender flag.

Pentagender individuals may also identify as multigender, transgender, and/or non-binary.

History

The term was coined by Tumblr user arco-pluris on or before July 31, 2018.[1]

Flag

The pentagender flag was created by Mod AP, who also coined the term, through the Tumblr blog beyond-mogai-pride-flags on January 31, 2019.[2] It has five stripes: a violet stripe, a red stripe, an orange stripe, a yellow stripe, and a green stripe. Violet represents androgyne, red represents agender, orange represents intersex, yellow represents non-binary, and green represents binary.[3]
