Patchworkhoarder is an identity term for those who constantly feel the need to "add" to their identities in all aspects. This is similar to genderhoarder, however, in the case of a patchworkhoarder, the hoarding involves all aspects of their identity, not necessarily just their gender and sexuality. A patchworkhoarder may also want to collect as many other identity labels as they can, such as their star signs, birth numbers, personality type and other personal traits, to further add to their sense of identity.
History
The term was coined by FANDOM user cutecrip on the 29th of June 2021.
The term "patchworkhoarder" was used to describe how a patchworkhoarder is always looking for identity labels to add to their sense of self, similar to how one would slowly add to a patchwork blanket to expand it.
Flag
The flag consists of a purple border with a pale pink background, with a purple patch in the centre, golden threads on the sides. The blue heart in the centre represents how each label adds to a persons feeling of identity.
The second flag was made by FANDOM user rhythmsancat on June 30th, 2021.[1] The third flag was made by the same user on December 21st, 2021.[2]
