Painsexual is an ace-spec identity in which someone's sexuality causes physical and/or mental pain. It can also mean when an individuals sexuality is affected and influenced by unwilling pain. An example of this second definition is when someones sexuality changes from asexual, to demisexual or even allosexual when experiencing pain, but changes back to asexual when no longer experiencing pain, or their sexuality stays the same until experiencing pain again. This pain is unpurposeful/accidental pain, and does not include self harm.
