Orientated, or oriented, is a term used to describe an individual's experience with attraction which does not specify the form of attraction being experienced. |
|||
Oriented or orientated describes experiencing a non-romantic, non-sexual attraction that is significant enough to label in addition to romantic or sexual orientations. The attraction being experienced does not need to be defined, making oriented an unlabel. It can be used alone or combined with other terms, such as gay-orientated. |
|||
Orientated may be used as a suffix to describe one's orientation when an individual does not want to or does not feel the need to specify what forms of attraction they are experiencing. It may also be used to describe an individual's experience with tertiary attractions that they feel are important enough to their identity to label alongside their romantic and sexual attractions. |
|||
It is a descriptor of someone feeling tertiary attraction. |
|||
Alternatively, orientated may be used as a stand-alone label without further description of the experienced attraction, optionally making orientated unlabeled. In this case, orientated would imply that the individual experiences an attraction, but would not elaborate on what form of attraction it is or who it is felt towards. |

Orientated, or oriented, is a term used to describe an individual's experience with attraction which does not specify the form of attraction being experienced.
Alternatively, orientated may be used as a stand-alone label without further description of the experienced attraction, optionally making orientated unlabeled. In this case, orientated would imply that the individual experiences an attraction, but would not elaborate on what form of attraction it is or who it is felt towards.
Etymology
Oriented takes inspiration from the related aroace term, oriented aroace.[1]
