Omdace (pronounced oam-da-ace or oam-days) is a term on the asexual spectrum in which one experiences no sexual attraction, no sexual arousal, and has no turn-ons; however, they enjoy and participate in masturbation. Reasons this may occur include, but are not limited to...

    • An ace person who is curious about masturbation.
    • An ace person who finds sex to be an emotional or mental act, and do not think they need arousal to have sex.
    • An ace person who masturbates out of boredom.
    • An ace person who is sex-favorable.
    • An ace person who has a partner who experiences sexual attraction, and masturbates to please them.
    • An ace person who is sex-favorable and is preparing for a sexual relationship.
    • An ace person who has sexual trauma, and feels as though masturbation helps them cope.
    • An ace person who masturbates for social reasons.
    • An ace sex-worker who masturbates to please customers.

    Flag

The flag was coined by Angel on May 6th of 2021. The pale-grey represents asexuality, the light greyish-pink represents enjoyment, the dark greyish-pink represents the ace-spec community, the pinkish-maroon represents passion, the purplish/pinkish tinted red represents self-love, while the black represents sexual activity. The black is designed to look like almost like an M, a hint towards masturbation.

    Etymology

The name comes from the word omdat, which means 'because' in Afrikaans.
