Oasisgender is a fluid gender characterized by a high amount of gender euphoria when one finds the "right" or most fitting gender(s). It is described as being like wandering through a desert of confusion until one stumbles upon the "right" or most fitting gender(s), which is an oasis, before one sets off and continues searching for the next oasis when the euphoria wears off.[1]
Tumblr user mygenderisamess also suggested that this could be used as a concept of one having oasisgenders, giving an example stating "I have a few oasisgenders [currently], but the euphoria of them will wear off soon, so I’ll look for more. One of my former oasisgenders is stargender."[2]
History
The term was coined through an anonymous submission to the Tumblr blog beyond-mogai-pride-flags on or before July 26th, 2018.[1]

The oasisgender flag was created on June 22nd, 2021 by Tumblr blog mygenderisamess.[2] The stripes have specific meanings. The orange-yellow and yellow stripes represent the "desert of confusion", the blue and green stripes represent the "oasis of euphoria", and the grey stripe represents the euphoria wearing off.
