For example, seagender is a noungender best described by the sea. They are particularly useful for synesthetes and otherkin, though noungenders usually do not have exclusivity to those groups. Noungenders are very flexible and personal. They have many similarities and overlap with aesthetigenders. However, noungenders describe genders as directly being or being like a thing, while aesthetigenders describe genders as having a similar aesthetic or being aesthetically related to something.
History
Noungender was coined July 16th, 2014, by Tumblr user branacle.[1] The creator of the flag is unknown.
