Nonlibidoist individuals typically do not experience an inherent drive to engage in sexual activity or interaction, including masturbation or sexual relationships. They may or may not choose to engage in these activities.
While a lack of sex drive is not synonymous with asexuality, the term is often used by individuals on the asexual spectrum, as a large percentage of asexual individuals are non-libidoists. Some asexual individuals may still experience a sex drive, though they do not experience sexual attraction (or only experience it rarely or weakly). These individuals may use the term libidoist.
