Nixvir is a nixic gender that has both genderless and masculine aligned aspects. This may manifest as identifying partially as a boy. These aspects can be experienced simultaneously, fluidly, or through fluctuations. It is intended for those who feel simultaneously connected and disconnected from manhood, as well as for those who have difficulty distinguishing their alignment from their gender.
The feminine counterpart is nixera.
History
Nixvir was coined by Tumblr user Nixera (now deactivated) on or before October 23, 2018[1]. The word comes from a combination of nix, coming from the German word meaning "nothing" or "none", and the Latin word for man, vir.
The flag’s pale blue represents being partially connected to manhood. The dark purple represents genderlessness or complete unalignment from the gender binary. The shades in between represent the varying levels to which one can experience both.
