Nightdysphoria also know as Noxdysphoria is a form of gender dysphoria falling under xenodysphoria umbrella caused by night/dark-atmospheres. It can manifest as distress, depressive symptoms, anxiety, restlessness, anger, frustration or unease, a sense of gender fragmentation or chaos resulting by be in a in a dark-atmosphere or outside at night. It's different from moondysphoria even if they can overlap.
Dysphoria can be experienced weakly or strongly and its intensity can fluctuate during or after been exposed in a dark-atmosphere. The felt dysphoria can be intense to the point it may cause severe depressive symptoms, anxiety or self-destructive thoughts.
Having noxdysphoria is very different from simply be scared or dislike been in a dark-atmosphere since it is a distress, fragmentation or an unease related to one's gender identity. Furthermore someone can have noxdysphoria and still like dark-atmospheres and night, even if it causes gender dysphoria. This type of dysphoria is not exclusive to a specific gender, as any gender identity can experience it.
Examples:
• A girlflux after been exposed to a dark-atmosphere, can feel a deep identitary infrigement, resulting in a deep psychological distress and a energy loss.
• A neutrois after or being outside at night, can experience a violent gender fragmentation and apathy.
The eurphoric equivalent of noxdysphoria is noxeuphoria.
