The modern western society is such that it encourages people with ridiculous, damaging beliefs to step forward and start what is essentially a cult of people fighting for a cause that is objectively wrong/immoral (such as vegans pretending that veganism is healthy and trying to convince everyone else to join them).

This edit will inevitably be reverted but I'd like to take a minute to ask the person who does so; if you didn't have people all around you convincing the world that there are more than two genders, would you still believe you were neither Male nor Female?

Neurogender is a xenogender defined as when one’s gender is in some way linked to their neurodivergence, mental illness, or neurological conditions. It is an umbrella term for any gender related to being neurodivergent, but it can also be used as an identity on its own. Neurogender is not neurodivergence as a gender, but rather is a gender or experience of gender that is so heavily influenced by one's neurodivergence that one's gender and neurodivergence cannot be unlinked.

Not everyone who is neurodivergent identifies as a neurogender, only those who feel their gender is influenced by their status as neurodivergent. Neurogenders are exclusive to those of a given neurotype, though oftentimes there are similar terms available to neurotypical individuals who have similar experiences and don't wish to appropriate.

    Flag and Symbol

The neurogender flag was posted on the Tumblr blog Pridearchive on August 13, 2014[1]. The color meanings are as follows: Red, green, blue and purple represent the spectrum of different neurotypes and gender identities that neurodivergent individuals have. Black represents the aromantic and asexual spectrums. The infinity symbol represents neurodiversity.

The neurogender symbol was designed by system-lgbt on Tumblr on July 28, 2018.[2] The symbol was based on the disability flag by capriuni.[3] It is also the symbol for Pallas, the Roman god of war, victory, and power, whose asteroid is associated with intellectual power, critical thinking, cognitive skills and how one’s mind is mapped out, in astrology.

Alternative neurogender flags were designed by Tumblr user kasatate1 on February 21, 2023.[4]
