Mussaender or Mussagender is a xenogender that relates to the flower Mussaenda. This xenogender feels like a soft/gentle, yet strong security for one's gender identity and expression, alongside a strong adoration for it. It may represent one's connection and experience as their gender. This can also be used to incorporate Mussaenda into one's identity for aesthetic purposes or to be used alone.

The Mussaenda are also called Bangkok Roses. In South East Asian cultures, they fulfill a similar meaning as roses, for love, adoration, and/or encouragement. The most colorful part of the Mussaenda are the pretty bracts which protect the small, star-shaped flower in the center. These leaves also have a soft, fuzzy texture. They were chosen for this identity for their representation of protection and security, as well as the soft leaves and adoration symbolism.

The colors of this flag, although have it's own meaning, are also similar to that of the flower itself. The star-shaped flower symbol is present in the actual flower and can represent a sense of uniqueness/individuality. The flag's meaning is as follows: Salmon red for strength, salmon pink for adoration, pale pink for gentleness, pastel yellow for connection, light orange for expression, and reddish-orange for security.
