Musicdysphoria is a generic term referring to a form of gender dysphoria that falls under the xenodysphoria umbrella, where an individual experiences a sense of gender discomfort or distress resulting from listening/hearing music. This can include certain musical styles in particular, any type of music, or specific musical tracks. Experiencing musicdysphoria is different from simply disliking a particular music or musical style. One can experience musicdysphoria and still can find a certain music beautiful even if it causes gender dysphoria. Someone who experiences this type of dysphoria may call themself 'musidys'.

Gender dysphoria can be experienced weakly or strongly and its intensity can fluctuate during or after listening music. Experiencing this type of dysphoria does not require any gender related to music, any gender identity can experience it.
