The original flag was created by a user who wishes to remain anonymous. The blue and pink represent using pronouns that are traditionally "masculine" or "feminine" (and it is up to the pronoun user to decide what feels masculine or feminine.) The teal and orange represent neopronouns and the yellow represents neutral pronouns.
The alternate flag was coined by Ally from Cryptocrews system on February 27th of 2021. Purple represents a mix of pronoun use, yellow represents diversity, green represents using common pronouns, blue represents using neopronouns, white represents using custopronouns, while black represents no pronouns or any other form of pronoun usage. The speech bubble represents pronoun use in general.
An anonymous wiki user designed an alternate multipronominal flag on June 10, 2021. Black represents neopronouns and other uncommon pronouns, including nounself, nameself, emojiself, it/its, one/one's, and similar pronouns. Blue represents he/him pronouns. Pink represents she/her pronouns. Yellow represents they/them pronouns. White represents using multiple pronoun sets.
