Monogamish or Monoamorish is when a couple is in a committed partnership that is typically monogamous, but with occasional exceptions. They have an agreement that partners can engage in some level of activity with other people.[1] It may overlap with an open relationship, however it may also be different in many ways.
An example of how it may be different from an open relationship is a couple that has agreed that they are allowed to flirt with others, however they are not allowed to hookup with others, unlike an open relationship.
History
It is unknown when the term monogamish was coined, however it has been used amongst the community for a number of years.
