'''Asterian''' also known as '''Maedic''' describes a wlnb or a woman who is attracted to [[Non-Binary|non-binary]] people, and/or a woman who prioritizes their attraction to non-binary people over other attractions they may have. This attraction can be exclusive or not. Asterian is an umbrella term like [[sapphic]] and is typically not used as an identity on it's own, however it can be if desired. It was intended for women who are dating non-binary people, but those that attached to non-binary people anyways can also use it.

    History

The term was coined by Tumblr user Orbisian-Prinxess, who is now deactivated. It was likely coined sometime in early 2018, likely around the same time as astroidian. The flag was also designed by Orbisian-Prinxess[1].
