Lunarset is a gender identity where you feel your gender is neutral (or slightly feminine), but with strong feminine influences.

The lunarset flag by Tumblr user gendersimulator

These influences can change how you label your gender, you may use feminine gender labels but still feel that your gender in or of itself is not entirely or very feminine at all.

The femininity felt and shown is powerful, overwhelming, and affects how you present and behave. The intensity is that of the moon.

    The masculine version is Solarset.

    Flag

The moon alchemical symbol on the flag represents the perceived femininity of the moon, and the intensity of which femininity can be felt. The purple and plum colors represent a soft sky and femininity, the greyish yellows represent the moon and its intensity, and the white is for nonbinariness, nullgendered-ness or third-genderedness.

    Etymology

The prefix "-set" was coined by Tumblr user gendersimulator. It describes genders that can be altered or shifted or feel different sometimes, but the base of it is the same. The base of lunarset is neutral but slightly feminine.

    History

Both this term and the flag were created by gendersimulator on January 24, 2020.
