Notable Ancient Greek chthonic deities are: Hecate, Hades, Persephone, Selene, Demeter, Dionysus, Nyx, Circe and Erinyes. Notable ones from other religions are Hel and Nott (Nordic), Isis and Osiris (Egyptian), Veles, Morana, Baba Yaga and Niya (Slavic), Ceres, Proserphine, Dis Pater and Orcus (Roman), Ereshkigal and Nergal (Mesopothamian).
