Luminyx is a xenogender in which the user feels a connection to a firefly flying across a field on a warm night while the sky is clear and pitch black and the sky is filled with twinkling stars. This xenogender can be used by anyone, and it can also be classified as a noungender. The gender is not masculine, feminine, or neutrally aligned, but it may be interpreted that way

    Etymology

The term Luminyx comes from the word "Luminescent" and the name of the Greek Goddess of night "Nyx".

    History and Flag

This term was coined by user hazeytea on Everskies, along with the flag on July 17, 2021.

The flag is designed using soft oranges and darker purples to represent the colours fireflies, stars, and the night sky. The white strip represents individuality.
