Lightsexual, Light Allosexual or Alasexual (or Allasexual) is the allosexual equivalent to greysexual or grey asexual. It is an orientation for those who are not asexual and do experience sexual attraction, but in a way not fully described by terms like "allosexuality" or "sexual". This could be due to occasionally feeling either a misplaced lack of attraction or complete lack of sexual attraction. It can also be seen as an umbrella term for any sexual identity that is capable of experiencing asexuality or ace-spec identities, such as Ace-Jump, Alloflux and others, while also remaining an umbrella term to explain how one experiences sexuality without it being an identity for some. Lightsexual can include:

    • Experiencing lack of sexual attraction infrequently
    • Experiencing lack of sexual attraction very weakly
    • Experiencing no sexual attraction for a long period of time, but experiencing sexual attraction later.
    • Not feeling that the definition of "frequently experiences sexual attraction" describes their orientation.
    • Feeling as though they can mostly relate and understand the concept of sexual attraction, but not fully.
    • Rarely experiencing a lack of sexual attraction.
    • Rarely experiencing a light but noticeable lack of sexual desire.
    • Feeling lack of attraction or lack of desire due to being abrosexual, and not identifying with either asexual or allosexual.
    • Otherwise mostly relating to being sexual, even if it's not a perfect fit.
    The Lightsexual flag

The term "lightsexual" refers to the black, grey, and white spectrum of sexuality created by members of the aspec community. White means being purely allosexual, light white means someone that can usually be considered allosexual but can rarely feel lack of attraction or asexuality, grey means being mostly asexual and rarely feeling sexual attraction or only feeling attraction in certain circumstances, and black means a complete lack of sexual attraction.

The term lightsexual was coined in this entry.

"Alasexual" comes from the color "Alabaster" which is a distinct vaguely colored shade of white. It can also be seen as merging Allo with A-Spec variations or tendencies in the name with "Allo" and "Asexual"
