== History and Etymology ==
A formal coining post for Libragender was made by Tumblr user ''libragender'' on or before 10. July, 2014. The term would rapidly become known, being mentioned on Amino only a few days after and receiving its own entry on Urban Dictionary the next year.
The name comes from Libra, or the Zodiac sign typically depicted as a set of scales. In the coining post, ''libragender'' proposed an analogy of one side of the scale being agender, and the other any other gender identity. Under this analogy, the agender would far outweigh the other identity, but still not be 100% of the weight.
