History
Klygender was coined on January 5th, 2022 by FANDOM user CandySkyez.[1] A poll to decide the flag was held shortly after.[2] It was originally named "vestigender", but this was changed after the coiner realized that was already taken.[3]
Flag
The klygender flag was decided through a poll on the LGBTA Wiki.[2] It consists of a blue stripe symbolising masculinity, a pink stripe symbolising femininity, two purple stripes symbolising neutrality/androgyny, and a larger gray stripe symbolising other presentations. A moon is in the middle, symbolising the different "phases" of klygender identities, influenced by gender presentation. A variant with the same symbolism was made by CandySkyez as well.
Etymology
The name comes from the German word "kleidung", which means "clothing".
