Vestigender is a term for when somebody feels that their gender changes because of their Gender Presentation, which may include the style or type of their clothing. It is a type of Mutogender where the change is inspired by clothing. For example, one could feel that they are a Male, but their presentation changes to feminine and they then identify as Female. It could apply to xenogenders where one's gender becomes connected to their clothing as well. It is a subset of genderfluid or genderflux.

The vestigender flag was decided through a poll on the LGBTA Wiki. It consists of a blue stripe symbolising masculinity, a pink stripe symbolising femininity, two purple stripes symbolising neutrality/androgyny, and a larger gray stripe symbolising other presentations. A moon is in the middle, symbolising the different "phases" of vestigender identities, influenced by gender presentation.

Klygender is a term for when somebody feels that their gender changes because of their Gender Presentation, which may include the style or type of their clothing.

    History

Klygender was coined on January 5th, 2022 by FANDOM user CandySkyez.[1] A poll to decide the flag was held shortly after.[2] It was originally named "vestigender", but this was changed after the coiner realized that was already taken.

It consists of a blue stripe symbolising masculinity, a pink stripe symbolising femininity, two purple stripes symbolising neutrality/androgyny, and a larger gray stripe symbolising other presentations. A moon is in the middle, symbolising the different "phases" of klygender identities, influenced by gender presentation. A variant with the same symbolism was made by CandySkyez as well.

    Etymology

The name comes from the German word "kleidung", which means "clothing".
