    The inreasexual flag.

Inreasexual is a type of fictosexuality in which one has exclusive or near-exclusive attraction to characters in live-action movies or shows. This is not, however, the attraction to the actors or actresses, but rather the characters and parts they play in a certain story, or certain stories.

    History

Inreasexual was coined by Anderson on the LGBTA fandom on December 20th, 2020.

    The inrearomantic flag.

    Inreasexuality vs paraphillia

Inreasexuality is often confused with a paraphillia, however, this is by definition an incorrect case. Paraphillias are known as sexual disorders and harmful desires, often leading to the distress of the person experiencing them and/or those around them.

Inreasexuality, however, does not usually cause harm, as it does not influence or promote any harmful or dangerous acts, and is simply a desire/attraction to one who does not exist outside of live action TV shows/movies. In some cases, one who is inreasexual may feel levels of distress due to being unable to have sexual feelings for people in reality, however this does not mean that everyone who is inreasexual feels this way, nor does it mean inreasexuality is bad.

Inreasexuality does not include attraction to harmful fictional tropes and those with harmful attractions are not the target group for inreasexual.
