Ignotusic is a term for genderfluid (or those who have fluid gender identities in general) individuals that do not know what gender they identify with for that moment.
Those who fluctuate to a ignotusic state may use neutral gender terms; a separate name than usual (if they feel discomfort with their typical name[s]); a different set of pronouns ; and/or neutral or xenine gender expression. Of course, this varies between individuals and is not constant within everybody.
Etymology
The term ignotusic derives from the Latin word “ignotus”— defined as “unknown”.
History
The term was coined by Fandom user Suqardemon on February 13, 2021. The flag was designed by FANDOM user Reign of the breadsticcs on April 3, 2021.
Flag
The flag is a rainbow spectrum but with a grey component added to each color to represent fluidity between different genders, but unsureness of each specific gender and gender shift. On January 17th, 2022, an alternate flag was designed by CandySkyez. Blue, purple, and pink represent various gender identities, and grey represents and haze and uncertainty.
