Homospike (also called gayspike) is a microlabel under homoflexible, when someone primarily experiences attraction to the same/similar gender or is otherwise gay (vincian or lesbian), but very occasionally has sudden and intense spikes of strong attraction to the opposite/dissimilar gender. These spikes are usually short lived.
It doesn't always have to be sexual attraction, and may be other forms of attraction such as queerplatonic or romantic.
The opposite is hetspike.
History
Homospike was coined by FANDOM user Zer0Rebel4 on May 4th, 2021. The flags were created on the same day, and represent the sudden straight attraction in a sort of spike that those who are homospike experience.
